Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise kicks off

Pakistan Navy’s major maritime exercise SEASPARK-2015 has begun in North Arabian Sea.

As part of the ongoing exercise SEASPARK 2015, Pakistan Navy carried out day as well as night live firing of different weapon systems at Air Defence Ranges, Sonmiani.

Various weapon systems including surface to air missiles, radar-controlled guns and manual guns were fired during the fire power demonstration.
Rear Admiral Syed Bashir Ahmad, Commander Coast, Rear Admiral Kaleem Shaukat, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) and senior representatives of Pak Army and Pakistan Air Force witnessed the fire power demonstration.

The flag officers also interacted with the troops participating in the event to exchange professional views. Live firings by combat troops are conducted to maintain utmost vigilance and professional prowess of the troops to safeguard the maritime frontiers of the country.
The event manifested the capabilities of various weapons systems and troops’ by successful engagement of all the designated targets
