The Excise and Taxation Department for the first time introduced sticker system in Rawalpindi for vehicles instead of token Tax.
For this purpose stickers have been supplied to Rawalpindi Taxation office and from now onwards the stickers would be given to the payers of token tax, so that vehicles with a sticker on them could ply on roads without any checking by police.
According to details the department would soon start action against the vehicles not having stickers.
Stickers would be of three types i.e. life time token tax, yearly and half yearly which would be in different colours.
As figures say, 738,000 vehicles are registered in Rawalpindi, and free of cost stickers would be given to the payers of token tax.
