A Civil Court on Wednesday remanded six Capital Development Authority (CDA) officers among 11 alleged corrupt officials in Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) custody for three days.

The alleged culprits were produced in civil judge Abdul Ghafoor Kakar’s court. At least 11 CDA officials have been accused of assisting land grabbers in Afghan slums. The accused persons include two deputy directors, six directors, assistant director, supervisors and sub-inspectors.

The FIA has maintained that CDA officials played a role in establishment of illegal Afghan slums suspecting the officers of work shirking.

The Lawyer of FIA requested the court to grant 10 days physical remand of the alleged people. However, the court remanded the accused in FIA’s custody for three days.

The court further ordered the authorities to present the accused in next hearing.
