90 more dengue cases in Rawalpindi take tally to 3,740

Number of patients fallen prey to the deadly dengue virus have reached 3740 in the ongoing year with 90 more cases reported in Rawalpindi in the past 24 hours.

Dengue situation in the metropolis is worsening with the passage of time as the administration and health department have proved inefficient to control the epidemic.

Most of the affected are from around Rawalpindi, Chaklala Cantonments, Rawal and Potohar Town.

At least 10 people have died from dengue fever this year in Rawalpindi. The patients include a large number of women and children.

Administration of both the cantonment boards have failed to take steps to control the dengue larva and increasing number of patients. Anti dengue spry has not been conducted yet in the any area of Cantt as promised.
