Three target killers killed in Karachi police encounter

At least three target killers were killed in exchange of fire with police in various areas of Karachi on the night following between Sunday and Monday.

According to SSP City Fida Hussain, police conducted a raid in Lyari’s Baghdadi area for arresting a wanted person, Rana, who belongs to Sheraz Comrade gang. In the exchange of fire, the accused was killed. Rana was reportedly involved in the killing of 15 people including Akbar Nagori, brother of MPA Javed Nagori.

Separately, an accused involved in the murder of seven people was killed in a police shootout in Mochko area.

In another incident, an accused who had sustained injuries in an encounter with the police in New Town, succumbed to his wounds in Jinnah Hospital.

Meanwhile, a suspect was apprehended from Jinnah Hospital’s emergency, while security personnel also held an extortionist in Pirabad.

In another incident, police launched a raid in New Karachi Town and took a political party’s official into custody on suspicion of having contacts with Indian intelligence agency RAW.

The senior police official stated that Karachi operation was having positive outcomes as dozens of extortionists, target killers and terrorists had been held so far. He said that stern action would be continued until criminals were completely wiped out from the city.
