The Supreme Court (SC) Tuesday admitted a petition for hearing filed by former chairman PEMRA Rashid Ahmad against his sacking and issued notices to the parties concerned.
However, the court has rejected plea by the petitioner for restraining new chairman PEMRA Absar Alam from performing his functions and early hearing of the petition.

Justice Mian Saqib Nisar remarked ,“The SC has laid down principle in its decisions that if some government employee complies with the illegal orders of any senior officer then he is incompetent. How can any appointment be made against rules of business.”
He gave these remarks while presiding over three- member bench of the SC during the course of hearing of the case on Tuesday.
