A Punjab Assembly lawmaker from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf was arrested Tuesday for using firearms to harass the voters during the local bodies’ elections in Gujranwala.
According to reports, PTI MPA Nasir Cheema was nabbed after the registration of a harassment complaint by a citizen. Six others have also been booked. Nevertheless, Cheema is on bail now.
The PTI MPA and six others were booked for a firing case in which five people including a PML-N local council candidate were injured.
