Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday lashed out at a reporter who attempted to enquire about his recent divorce with TV journalist Reham Khan.
“Those talking about someone’s personal life should be ashamed,” a furious Khan said, while addressing a press conference in Peshawar.
“There are some ethics. No one should ask personal questions,” he said. On October 30, Imran and Reham filed for divorce after a 10-month marriage.
“We have decided to part ways and file for divorce,” Reham Khan stated in a brief statement on her Twitter account on Friday. Half an hour later, Khan confirmed the move in a tweet of his own, saying that this was a “painful time for me and Reham and our families.”
Khan had married Reham, 20 years his junior, in a simple ceremony in January this year. However, Khan’s followers and well-wishers celebrated the wedding far and wide.
