Kalabagh dam and Dasu dam can bring about a drastic reduction in the burning of fossil fuels within five years. However, of these two only Kalabagh dam can also give us 6.1 million acre feet of additional water, a part of which can be diverted to the Indus delta during the dry months to check sea incursion to some extent, much more dam capacity will be required to reverse the degradation of the delta, only more dams and not less dams will save the delta.
