As many as 190 dengue fever cases have been detected across the Sindh province during the last week, out of which 187 were reported from Karachi city.
As per weekly report issued by Dengue Prevention and Control Program Sindh, a total 2,896 dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh since January 1, out of which 2,829 were reported in Karachi city alone. Eight people have died of the disease in the city this year so far.
Report stated that 190 dengue fever cases emerged across the province from October 26 to November 1, out of which 187 were reported in Karachi, two in Hyderabad and one in Mirpurkhas.
Out of the total 2,896 reported cases of dengue fever, 2,829 were reported in Karachi, 26 in Hyderabad, 9 in Larkana, eight in Mirpurkhas, seven in Umerkot, four in Shaheed Benazirabad, three each in Thatta, Sukkur and Ghotki, two in Sanghar, while one case was reported in Shikarpur and Jacobabad each.
