Three men killed in city violence

As many as three men were killed in different incidents in the metropolis on Sunday.

A man, Hazoor Bux, aged around 32, was shot dead by unknown armed men near Data Nagar in Orangi Town area. He was resident of Organi town.

The body was earlier brought to local police station and then to Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation morgue. A youth, Atif, 16, son of Ishaq, was shot dead by unknown armed men in Korangi 3 ½ area. He belonged to Surjani Town. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy. In another incident, Azizullah, 32, son of Imtiazullah, was shot dead by unknown armed men near Block 17 in Gulistan-e-Johar area.

Rescue sources said, the body was earlier brought to local police station and then shifted to JPMC for an autopsy.

TARGET KILLER GUNNED DOWN

A target killer was gunned down and his accomplice was arrested during an armed encounter with police personnel in Karachi area of Gulistan-e-Jauhar in Sunday’s wee hours.

According to police, the killed outlaw has been identified as Faraz and his abettor as Ali. The police said that a targeted operation was undertaken in Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block-16. The miscreants attacked the police party as soon it arrived in the area. The body of the felon has been shifted to Jinnah Hospital. The target killer was involved in the killing of a political worker, according to police.

TWO KILLED, ONE INJURED IN ROAD MISHAPS

As many as two persons were killed and another in different traffic accidents in the metropolis on Sunday.

An unidentified man, aged around 18, died when his motorcycle slipped at Nasir Jump, Korangi area. However, a youth, Jahanzaib, 17, was injured in this incident. The body and injured were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC).

In another incident, a man, Farhan, 30, son of Muhammad Saeed, also died in a road mishap. A speedy vehicle hit him near Thursday Market, UP area. He was a resident of Azizabad. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).

FOUR BODIES RECOVERED NEAR SUPER HIGHWAY

At least four bodies were recovered from Super Highway in Karachi on Sunday.

According to details, the corpses were recovered from a well near Edhi Village. The security personnel stated that the bodies wearing Shalwar Qameez were several weeks old. Rescue teams reached the area and shifted the bodies to a morgue, however, the identities of the deceased persons could not be ascertained yet. The senior police official stated that Karachi operation was launched by government which was giving positive outcomes as dozens of extortionists, target killers and terrorists had been held so far.

YOUTH DROWNS WHILE SWIMMING

A youth drowned while swimming in the SeaView area on Sunday.

According to rescue sources, an unidentified youth, aged about 25, was drowned into sea at Do-Dariya Point, near SeaView during swimming. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for an autopsy.

MAN DIES AFTER FALLING FROM ROOF

A man died after falling from the house roof in Landhi area on Sunday.

According to rescue sources, Shamir Khan, son of Haji Khan, died on the spot when he fell from the roof of a house at Gulshan-e-Bonier in Landhi area. The body was shifted to Sindh Social Welfare Hospital.
