Demand of woollen clothes increases in twin cities

Due to abrupt change in weather, there is a sharp increase in demand for woollen items in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

A number of stalls has been set-up of with winter stuff which included warm caps, sweaters, socks and frequent rush in stalls and shops has been observed at Aabpara market, G-9 markaz, commercial market and Rawalpindi Saddar.

A shopkeeper at Aabpara market said “I have every kind of warm stuff but mostly people were buying woollen caps to protect them from cold.”

A citizen, Ayesha Khan said “After sudden change in weather I went to local market to buy the warm stuff for me and for my children, and I observed that the prices of these items at stalls were much high than the last year’s prices.”

“I also bought a woollen cap commonly known as Chitrali cap for my husband and a son to protect their heads from the chilly weather”, she said.
