Hearing of Judges detention case against former dictator president Pervez Musharraf was adjourned till November 13 on Friday due to absence of the judge.
ATC judge Sohail Akram was on leave due to which the hearing could not be conducted.
During the hearing, argument was to take place on the plea to cancel Musharraf’s arrest warrant. The warrant was issued after the court dismissed former president’s exemption plea that was submitted without the medical report.
However; the defence lawyer submitted the report later and filed a plea seeking cancellation of his arrest warrants after which the court impeded implementation on his arrest.
Legal proceedings were initiated against Musharraf for detaining over 60 judges, including the former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, after the proclamation of a state of emergency in the country.
