Audit report reveals mega corruption scandal of Rs1.50b in FJWU

Mega corruption scandal worth Rs. 1.50 billion of Fatima Jinnah Women University has been exposed.

It was revealed in the audit report of 2014. According to the report, the university administration had paid millions of rupees to blue-eyed individuals and constructions companies.

It stated in report that a high-level investigation is in progress against the mega scandal. The administration of the university has openly violated the rules and regulations as it hired its retired employees and made corruption of Rs. 10.1 million through this process.

The report revealed that appointment of retired employees was against the rules and regulations. It further started in report that the University’s Principal had given the canteen contract to a preferred company, making a corruption worth Rs. 1.1 million through this fake process.

On the other hand, it was revealed in the audit report that the administration had given University construction contract to blue-eyed construction companies corrupting Rs. 10.70 million through this. Even the University principal did not recover Rs. 5.1 million from contractors in this regard. The whole corruption investigation process has been handed over to Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), it added.

Furthermore the university administration had utilized Rs. 12 million on fake renovation work.
