A clash of the Khans in real life is unfortunate but a clash of the Khans in reel life is colossal. Rumours were abound that Mahira and SRK-starrer Raees and Salman’s Sultan were going to collide on Eid next year, Farhan Akhtar, Raees producer, confirms the news. According to DNA India, the Dil Dhadakne Do actor is not in the least worried about the clash, claiming that big productions have in the past been released on the same day as well. SRK praises Mahira to the skies. “That has happened in the past when there have been two big releases on the same day and both of them have done well. So this depends on the audience. We leave it to them to decide,” he was quoted as saying. He further said that it’s the right of a filmmaker to release a film on a chosen date. “The fact is when you make a film and you want to release it on a certain date, you have the right to.” There are chances that the box office might not rake in the same numbers; splitting the earnings between the two films, Farhan disagrees. “I would rather hope that both of them will have enough followers and admirers to watch both the films,” he said. “If you are making a good film, it will work no matter which film it’s clashing with. And if both Raees and Sultan turn out to be good films, both will do equally well at the box office,” he explained. ‘Uff’ we will look good in Raees, Shah Rukh tells Mahira One would think Farhan might want to consider changing the release date of his film, however, he’s unwavering in his decision. “I don’t see the reason why I need to do that, honestly!” he said adamantly. Both films are set to release on Eid next yer.
