On the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the federal government and the civic agency have started working on a plan to construct a metro track from Faizabad to Rawat.
A source in the CDA claimed that one lane on each side of the expanded Islamabad Expressway from Faizabad to Rawat will be upgraded and allocated for the metro bus service.
The source said that the Rawalpindi-Rawat Metro-2 will be connected to the Faizabad metro bus station. The source said that state-of-the-art bus stations will be built in Sohan, Dhok Kala Khan, Iqbal Town, Kurri Road, Shakrial, Zia Masjid, Khanna Pull, Airport chowk, Karal, Media Town, PWD, Scheme, Sihala More and Rawat.
