Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has stressed on documentation of guarantees for interests of the people and the province of Balochistan in China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects so that Pakistan’s most-backward federating unit is given better chance to develop and prosper.
The PPP chairman was talking to former deputy chairman of Senate Sabir Ali Baloch who called on him at Bilawal House on Wednesday. Senator Sabir Baloch briefed the chairman about the political situation in his province. He also apprised him about the common opinion of the people of Balochistan about the CPEC and emphasised that the schemes under this corridor should benefit the general masses to remove the sense of deprivation from the province.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the PPP had always took care about the pressing issues of Balochistan and hoped that that Chinese investment would bring boom in the provincial economy ultimately to the welfare and prosperity of its people.
Senator Baloch also discussed some suggestions regarding party organisation and informed the chairman that he was preparing some detailed document about the history of party organisation right from Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto with reference to Balochistan.
