All Pakistan Private Schools Association (APPSA) has announced public holiday in educational institutions of Rawalpindi on Tuesday (tomorrow) due to fear of aftershocks of the earthquake, which according to PMD sources, may last the next 24 hours.
The announcement was made after an earthquake measuring 8.1 on Richter scale jolted several parts of country including the federal capital and Rawalpindi on Monday afternoon. The quake claimed more than 130 lives and thousands others were wounded in related incidents.
The APPSA said that all educational institutions in Rawalpindi Division will remain closed on Tuesday.
