Two killed in clash between PTI, PML-N in Lahore

Local Bodies election campaign turned bloody when two activists of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) were killed amid clashes with workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Yakki Gate area of Lahore on Sunday night.
According to details, four PTI activists and one PML-N worker were injured in the firing in Yakki Gate area. The injured were rushed to hospital where 28-year-old Khurrum Gujar and Arif, both PTI workers succumbed to their injuries. Khurrum Gujar and Arif are stated to be real brothers.
PTI leaders Chaudhry Sarwar, Shafqat Mahmood and Aleem Khan reached the spot after the incident. Speaking to newsmen, PTI leader Shafqat Mahmood said that this is a test case for Punjab police. PTI workers have blamed PML-N activists for the attack.
DIG Operations, Haider Ashraf along with a heavy contingent of police also reached the spot. He said that special teams have been constituted to arrest the culprits behind this incident.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Shahbaz Sharif, while taking notice of the incident has sought an immediate report from concerned authority.
