Pakistan Muslim League (PML) President and former prime minister Senator Chaudhry Shujat Hussain, former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and party leader Moonis Elahi said on Friday that Hazrat Imam Hussain (R A) gave us a practical lesson to stand up to oppression by sacrificing himself and his family members for upholding the principles of the religion, Quran and Sunnah.
PML leaders in their messages on Youm-e-Ashur said that we should make the golden principles of the lives of Karbala martyrs beacon-lights for our lives. The message said that we should commit ourselves to practice these principles setting aside all petty differences and create unity and solidarity in our ranks against forces hostile towards Islam and Pakistan.
