Daniyal Aziz a liar, legal notice sent to him, says KP CM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Thursday said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Daniyal Aziz is a liar.

Holding a press conference in Peshawar, CM KP said that the hydel funds were not used during his tenure and a legal notice has been served to Daniyal Aziz for leveling baseless allegations. He said that an amendment will be brought in the law to make it mandatory for Accountability Commission to decide the cases within 3 months.

“No matter which party do the corrupt belong, accountability will be a must,” said Khattak.

Daniyal Aziz said that KP government failed to work on any of its promises of ‘change’. He said that the Rs. 25 billion of hydel fund, founded in 1992, are being gambled within stock exchange. And that the KP government claims of having hydel projects of 3260 mega watts but in reality it has projects of only 600 mega watts. “Out of these 600 mega watt projects also, only two projects of 17 and 2.6 mega watts are under process”, he added.

PML-N members of National Assembly Tariq Fazal Chaudhry and Maiza Hameed were also present on this occasion. Daniyal Aziz demanded Governor KP to hold an inquiry into the matter and hand over the relevant minister to National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

Responding to Daniyal Aziz’s accusations, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai rejected all the allegations.
