US Vice President Joe Biden lauded on Thursday Pakistan’s role in war against terrorism.

During his meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Washington, where he is on a four-day official visit, Biden appreciated the government’s role in war against terrorism, vowing US cooperation until objectives were achieved.

The premier informed Biden about the government’s priorities and economic reforms carried out since the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) came into power.

“Pakistan has made remarkable economic progress in last two years,” Sharif was quoted as saying.

The two leaders also discussed Pakistan-US relations, expressing the resolve for working on peace and prosperity in the region.
