The Supreme Court (SC) on Tuesday issued a show cause notice to additional director (AD) Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) seeking a reply on non implementation of court’s orders that asked for provision of traveling facilities to overseas Pakistan.

A three-member bench of SC presided over by the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Anwar Zaheer Jamali took up the case for hearing.

The CJP remarked that the overseas Pakistan had rendered services for the country. Therefore, they should be provided the facilities.

Law and Justice Commission secretary Sarwar Khan appeared before the court and said that the court had summoned report from CAA on August 6, 2015 on monitoring and other matters and had ordered the Authority to implement the court’s orders. However the orders had not been implemented so far and no report had been given to him, Khan told the court.

Sajid Bhatti told the court that additional director CAA was going to present the report. The court expressed displeasure and asked why its orders had not been implemented.

The court while issuing show-cause notice to the AD adjourned hearing in the case till the second week of November.
