Four Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flights have been cancelled and as many delayed during the last 24 hours, local media reported.
A spokesman for PIA told a local news channel that the flights were cancelled due to a low number of passengers who were switched to other flights. “The reason for the delays was re-carpeting at the Benazir Bhutto International airport in Islamabad and passengers had been informed in due-time,” he added.
According to the spokesman, 96 per cent of international and 98 per cent of domestic flights had departed on time.
