A baby girl died during birth in a rickshaw after the pregnant mother was denied admission in gynecology ward in Civil Hospital Gujranwala on Wednesday.
Sajida Bibi said that she is a poor woman which is why the hospital staff refused to admit her in the gynae ward. The baby girl died during birth in a rickshaw outside the main gate of the hospital.
Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif took notice of the incident and summoned report from the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, Secretary Health appointed DCO Gujranwala as investigation officer and directed him to submit a report at the earliest.
