The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sought a reply from Ayaz Sadiq on whether he had used state resources during the NA-122 by polls and directed him to appear before it on October 29.
According to media reports, the Judicial Activism Panel had filed a petition in Lahore High Court taking the plea that PML-N had used state resources during the NA-122 polls, and government vehicles were used during the election campaign on polling day. The services of government employees were hired to provide facilities to voters, it claimed.
The LHC,while admitting the petition for hearing, directed the ECP to hear the case.
According to LHC orders, Chief Election Commissioner Sardar Raza Khan will hear the matter in Islamabad.
