The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday summoned Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan (DAGP) to assist it in a petition seeking the court to direct government to bring back foreign assets owned by top politicians including Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari.
Justice Khalid Mehmood Khan of LHC took up the petition for hearing. Barrister Iqbal Jaffery said in his petition that foreign assets worth $400 billion of Pakistani politicians be brought back to Pakistan and transferred to the national exchequer.
The court while summoning deputy attorney general for assistance adjourned hearing of the case.
