Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Secretary Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad on Tuesday said that the commission cannot depute military personnel at every polling station in the local government elections.
Talking to media, he said that the ECP has asked the Punjab and Sindh chief secretaries to present an analytical report on the requirement of the military personnel in the LG elections, adding that the report would be shared with Pakistan Army.
The ECP also launched a video and mobile application to train voters and election staff, he said. The election commission also uploaded a video on the website of the ECP, he added.
