The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in collaboration with Islamabad Administration and Islamabad Police has conducted a joint operation in Sector C-16 and vacated 1000 kanal of state land from adverse possession.
The land was acquired by CDA and compensation in lieu of this land has already been paid, however the land was illegally possessed by the locals and used for agriculture.
Senior official of CDA said that around 1000 kanal of land has been vacated while the operation will continue till the vacation of rest of the state land from the illegal occupants.
He said that the operation was conducted by the officers and officials of Enforcement Directorate along with the other concerned formations of the Authority.
CDA has warned all such illegal occupants and encroachers of state land to vacate the land and remove the encroachments by themselves otherwise CDA would them.
It is pertinent to mention here that CDA has the possession of its acquired land in C-14 and C-15 and operation is being carried out in Sector C-16.
CDA has started fencing of its land and is also establishing special check-posts to ensure proper monitoring and protection of land from the illegal occupant and encroachers.
