All arrangement finalized for free and transparent LG election in Khairpur: DRO

District Returning Officer (DRO) Khairpur, Munawar Ali Mithiani has said that all arrangements have been finalized to hold free and transparent local government (LG) election in the district.

 
He stated this while chairing a meeting regarding security, transport and communications for LG election 2015 held at Darbar hall of DC office Khairpur on Tuesday. The meeting was attended among other by SSP Khairpur Pir Muhammad Shah, Major Imran of Rangers, all returning officers, and other concerned departments officials.

 
Munawer Ali Mithaini said Pakistan army and Rangers will assist in holding free and impartial LG election. He urged the all ROs to keep in touch with Rangers, police and other agencies and emphasized the candidates to implement the code of ethics and directed the ROs to display code of ethics at the notice boards.

 

SSP Khairpur Pir Muhammad Shah informed the meeting that more than 6000 cops will be deployed and army and rangers will be posted at all sensitive polling stations and a DSP level officer will be with every Returning Officer. He said that 328 polling stations have been declared as sensitive out of 796 polling stations and 17 platoons will posted at polling stations and patrolling of law enforcement agencies will also be increased before the polling days.

 

He said that all arrangements have been finalized and full security will be provided to all electoral staff.
