Punjab Wahadat ul Muslimeen on Sunday protested against the repressive policies and undue laws created by the ruling party against Majalis (religious gathering).

Punjab Wahadat ul Muslimeen Head Allma Jawad addressed protesters outside the Lahore Press Club and raised a voice for the rights of Shia Muslims, and he said that he was informed by different people that they had faced many hurdles while trying to organise processions, which had never been seen in past.

He said world powers also wanted differences in the country, especially through victimisation of Shia Muslims.

He also demanded urgent release of two religious scholars. He said that the ruling party had cut out facilities for Shias at the district level. He said that his people were not dependent on Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who unwillingly provided fake security for Majalis.

Another speaker talking on the occasion said that PML-N had been facilitator of terrorists and was not focused on checking singing and dancing parties in Punjab.
