Sindh Rangers on Monday announced Rs 1 lac of prize money for assistance in detention of suspects involved in assassination of Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Tabish Ali.
According to details, Rangers officials have assured to give foolproof security to the helper along with the prize money of Rs 1 lac. Residents can call on 1101 Rangers helpline to record any information about the murderers.
Earlier, ASI Tabish was gunned down by some unidentified armed terrorists in Karachi’s Azizabad area on Saturday evening.
Ali was recently appointed at the Azizabad police station and was deployed on security duty in the meat market. Two armed men opened indiscriminate fire and killed him.
The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Soon after the murder of ASI Tabish, Senior Superintendent of Police Haider assured to have directed all the Station House Officers (SHOs) to deploy three to four policemen for security duties at different locations. He said the officers have been asked to wear bullet-proof vests.
He further termed the incident as an act of negligence of Azizabad SHO.
