Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab organiser Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has said that the Election Commission of Punjab has become a “B Team” of the PML-N.
He said that the commission was providing incomplete voter lists to the PTI candidates. Chaudhry Sarwar warned the Election Commission over its connivance with the PML-N and asserted that any move to rig the local government elections will result in the “political death” of the ruling party.
He said that the ECP Chief Justice (r) Sardar Raza Khan should take notice. He also warned that the PTI tigers would also be ready if any party tried to rig the general elections. He said that PTI was not interested in politics of conflict but will go to any extent in case if PML-N workers try to rob people’s mandate.
He said that the incumbent government’s ministers are the biggest enemies of the people. He asked the PTI workers to come out of their homes and help party candidates win the local government elections.
Chaudhry Sarwar was addressing a public meeting as part of the local government election campaign. Punjab PTI Deputy Organiser Umer Sarfraz Cheema, PTI chairman’s political advisor Abdul Aleem Khan, MPA Saadia Suhail, Sardar Kamil Umer, Punjab PTI Women Wing Media Head Shanila Ali, central member Fatima Chidhhar and a large number of party workers were present on the occasion.
Sarwar said that the PML-N has again entered into a “muk muka” with the ECP to rob the people of their mandate. He said the Punjab EC is purposely supporting PML-N and reluctant in even cooperating with other political parties as required by law and constitution.
Umer Sarfraz Cheema said the PML-N has not fulfilled any promise made with people during general elections and instead gifted them price-hikes and joblessness. He asked how the PML-N is going to go the masses for votes, and added that the party should be ashamed of its performance.
Abdul Aleem Khan said there is no doubt that PML-N had not won against him with the power of votes, and there was rigging. He said the PTI would not sit silent until it exposed the voter lists’ fraud jointly planned by PML-N, ECP and NADRA. He said that he is sure that the rulers would once again be exposed before the nation.
