Pakistan People’s Party leader Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that no senator could be arrested without seeking prior permission from the Senate Chairman.
While talking to Online, Ahsan said that the Islamabad police were following the right procedure regarding the arrest of Senator Sitara Ayaz, against whom Ehtesab Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued arrest warrants on graft charges.
“The Islamabad police can help the Ehtesab Commission to arrest Ayaz only after the Senate Chairman gives permission,” he said.
The K-P Ehtesab Commission has sought help from Islamabad police to arrest the ANP senator, who is currently residing in Parliament Lodges in Islamabad.
