Unidentified armed men shot and injured a local leader of Jamiat Ulema e Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) here on Sunday and escaped the scene.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sadiq Baloch said that unknown armed men ambushed JUI-F leader Haji Nazir at Multan Road in Dera Ismail Khan leaving him critically injured and fled away committing the crime.
The injured JUI-F local leader was rushed to hospital where according to medics his condition was stable. The police have registered a case against unknown assailants and started the investigation.
