A policeman committed suicide by shooting himself on Sunday after being repeatedly taunted and misbehaved with by his senior officials.
According to details, the ASI was serving in the investigation wing of the Defence Police Station. He was disappointed by the rough attitude, and repeated taunts from his senior officers. He committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with his pistol. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition but could not survive.
Punjab IG, Mushtaq Sukhera while taking the notice of the incident has directed CCPO Lahore, Captain (r) Muhammad Ameen Venus to conduct an inquiry into the incident.
