PML-Q candidate’s son killed as convoy comes under fire

Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leader and candidate for union council-9 election Mirza Muhammad Sharif’s son was killed as his convoy came under fire from unidentified attackers.

The candidate’s convoy was returning to Hazara Mughlan from Karianwala tehsil when his cavalcade was caught off-guard and hit by a barrage of bullets which killed one of his sons Imran on the spot and left the other, Younas, severely injured.

Sharif remained unscathed in the attack however.

His son Younas was shifted to Aziz Bhatti Hospital where his condition was said to be critical. According to police, the firing incident was the result of an old feud.
