At the inauguration of the LNG-powered thermal power plant in Haveli Bahadur Shah, the prime minister, the Punjab chief minister and Chaudhry Sher Ali’s son Abid Sher Ali were all present. From the body language to the contents of the speech of the prime minister, everything was seemingly done to assuage the grievances of the CM and give Abid Sher Ali a snub; the latter wasn’t even mentioned in the premier’s speech. A sign of things to come?

Ah, the fashion world! The refuge of the vapid and self-absorbed it might be, but it has to be taken seriously because of the huge amounts of money it brings.
Recently, a western designer has taken a Pakistani label to task for ripping off its design. Oh, and the local label had, indeed, plagiarised much, so no gripe there. But perhaps the Pakistani designers (the original ones) should do the same when the Indians plagiarise their designs, more and more instances of which are surfacing of late.

Recently, a youngster who really wanted to get admission in a government medical college in the Punjab, but couldn’t, contacted Imran Khan through someone. He couldn’t afford a private medical college; could Khan be of some help in the matter?
A little later, the lad was called by a medical college in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, who offered him a seat.
