PML-N govt will make history before term ends, says Shehbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Thursday that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government would make history in the next two and a half years of its remaining tenure.

Addressing provincial ministers, members of national and provincial assemblies, PML-N office-bearers and workers, the chief minister said that those who were involved in negative politics had been defeated.

He said that parties raising hue and cry over so-called rigging had seen the result of their negative politics.

The chief minister said that a huge loss had been caused to the country in the garb of sit-ins last year. He said that those resorting to politics of sit-ins realized neither the problems of common man nor the interest of country.

Sharif praised the effective role and untiring efforts of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for strengthening democratic institutions and promoting democratic norms in the country.

He said that PM’s politics was aimed at serving the masses and resolving the energy crisis, adding that serious efforts were underway to get rid of the problems faced by the masses.

Sharif congratulated the prime minister, party leadership, workers and members of organizing committee on the success of PML-N candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in by-election of NA-122 adding that he was thankful to Almighty Allah as well as his party’s supporters for the victory that had vindicated his party’s record.

Sharif said that PML-N government had introduced a new culture of high quality and transparency in development projects during the last seven years. He vowed that corruption and nepotism were neither tolerated earlier nor would they be tolerated in future. He said that the mandate given by the people in 2013 General Elections would be honoured. He said that the agenda of public welfare would be implemented even more vigorously than before.

The chief minister asked provincial ministers, assembly members, party leaders and office-bearers to spare no effort in resolving problems of the people.

He asked them to value party workers as they were the most precious asset of the party. He also urged government officials to strictly follow provincial government’s uplift program for making Punjab a model province in terms of development and progress.

Addressing on the occasion, Hamza Shahbaz said that good intentions had won out in NA-122 due to the support of the masses and blessings of Almighty Allah. He said that with the success of PML-N in NA-122 by-polls allegations of rigging in General Elections had been buried.
