FBISE approves new policy for improving exams

The Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) has approved a new policy for improving examination and appointment of examination staff.

According to a notification issued here, the students will be allowed to reappear in two papers of their choice within a period of one year for improvement of lower grades. This will help student to seek admissions to top universities for higher education.

The change has also been regarding induction of examination staff. Principal of any school or college will perform duty as superintendent of examination centre for intermediate classes. Vice principal or senior teachers will perform duty as vice superintendent while junior teaching staff of any school or college will perform duty as invigilators.

In matric examination, principal, vice principal, headmaster, headmistress, deputy headmaster or deputy head mistress will be deployed as superintendent in any examination centre.
