ANF burns 293 tons of narcotics in Quetta

The Anti Narcotics Forces (ANF) disposed of about three hundred tons of narcotics by burning here on Thursday.

IG FC, Major General Sher Afgan and ANF Commander Brigadier Adnan Azeem showed flame to 293 tons of narcotics to be disposed of.

The disposed of narcotics included 150 tons of hashish, 70 tons of Opium, more than 11 tons of heroin and over one ton Morphine which were recovered by the ANF during separate actions across the province.

Speaking on the occasion, IG FC Major General Sher Afghan lauded the performance of ANF and other related departments for their efforts to control the drugs production and smuggling. He said that drugs traffickers who play with lives of innocent people would not be spared at any cost and stern action would be taken against them.

He said that Pakistan was facing great hardship regarding narcotics smuggling due to neighbourhood of Afghanistan which was centre of such unlawful activities.

Maj. Gen. Sher Afgan said that drugs business would be no more allowed to continue and he vowed to continue playing role to eliminate menace of drugs smuggling in the province.
