At least two house maids were caught red handed while stealing ornaments from their employer, a Japanese lady, and subjecting the latter to violence in Hans Pura.
The two women were sisters employed by the Japanese woman as housemaids. The two women mercilessly beat up the Japanese lady after she caught them stealing her jewellery red handed. Both tried to flee the scene after attacking the woman. Residents of the area caught the two, however, and handed them over to the police.
Police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
