PTI forms committee to probe vote transfer

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday formed a six-member committee to inquire what it calls vote transfer in the NA-122 by-election. The inquiry committee will be headed by MPA elect from PP-147 Shoaib Siddiqui.

The committee will comprise MPA from PP-148 Mian Aslam Iqbal, Anees Ali Hashmi Advocate, Mehar Wajid, Mehar Fayyaz and Khurram Qureshi. The six-member committee will inquire the vote transfer reports.

PTI Punjab Organizer Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has issued a notification in this regard.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Punjab Organizer Chaudhry Sarwar will on Tuesday write a letter to Election Commission of Pakistan demanding the 2013 and 2015 voters lists.

Meanwhile, sources in the PTI said the party has decided to demand the list of voters of 2013 and 2015 elections from the Election Commission of Pakistan and will enquire about how many votes in NA-122 ended and how many transferred.

The PTI will further seek proof from the people of the constituency in this regard. The party has established a special cell at the chairman secretariat, where they have received 52 complaints of vote transfer.
