The Ten-day District Polo cup tournament autumn 2015 concluded at polo ground Chitralon Tuesday. 35 polo teams participated in the tournament.
The final match was played between Chitral Scouts polo team and Chitral Levies team.
Chitral scouts scored 3 goals in first half while Chitral levy team scored only 2 goals. In the second half Chitral Scouts team scored 5 goals and Chitral Levy could net only 3 goals.
The tournament was organized by District Polo Association (DPA) with financial support of Tourism Corporation Khyber Pahtoonkhwa (TCKP).
Commandant Chitral Scouts Col Nizamuddin Shah was the chief guest on the occasion while additional secretary Health Mutasim Billah Shah and other guests including Shahzada Sikandarul Mulk president of DPA were also present on the occasion.
The players were encouraged with beating of drums during the match. At the conclusion of match Col Nizamuddin distributed trophy, cups and awards among the players. He also announced of 20000 for each team.
Addressing on the occasion he said that due to positive activities not only we remain physically fit but we can also eradicate social evils like drug addiction, terrorism etc from our society. In addition we can promote our tourism and enhance eco tourism by inviting polo teams from other districts. A large number of people witnessed the final.
