As many as two terrorists were killed in encounters with police in Lyari Kalari and Chakiwara areas of Karachi in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The dead terrorists were identified as Zohaib and Mahmood. According to SSP City Fida Hussain, dead terrorist Zohaib was involved in killing of Pakistan People’s Party MPA Raja Kareem Dad. A large quantity of arms was also recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, police have recovered a dead body from Gulshan-e-Ghazi. The identity of the deceased was not ascertained yet. On the other hand, police have arrested a target killer after an encounter from Iqbal Market in Orangi Town. According to police, accused Aftab alias Daingo was involved in several cases of target killing.
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) apprehended three target killers involved in killings of at least 47 people. The criminals belonging to a political party were arrested when police conducted operations in Liaquatabad, Shah Faisal Colony and Shahbaz Goth.
Moreover, a firing incident near Askari Park claimed life of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) additional director Arshad Hussain.
