As many as 15 accused have been charged in Kasur child abuse case and the 100-page charge sheet was submitted to the anti-terror court (ATC) on Tuesday.
According to the charge sheet, 239 kids were abused in Kasur. The culprits also blackmailed the kids and their families to extort money.
The Kasur scandal case came to the fore during the month of August when residents of the area protested against the police and local legislator of the area. The issue was picked up by the media and the government of Punjab was forced to take action against the culprits.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif also visited the place on Tuesday and assured the victims of the case of his assistance and directed the police to help the victims. The CM said that the Kasur scandal was a brutal act and stern action would be taken against those involved in the heinous crime. It was now his responsibility to look into the matter, the CM further pledged.
