Shahbaz not pleased with lack of cleanliness in Lahore

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday expressed dissatisfaction over poor hygienic conditions in the provincial capital and directed the departments concerned to mend the situation.

Addressing a meeting in Civil Secretariat Lahore via video-link, Sharif criticised the officials concerned over dumps of garbage and domestic waste within the city.

He warned that it was unacceptable for him that people get sick due to unhealthy environment while the departments concerned continue to play role of silent spectators.

The chief minister also constituted a committee to look into the state of affairs and present a report to him within three days.

He also directed to identify new locations for garbage dumping and asked the concerned staff to dump waste at the allocated site only.

Shahbaz also warned of stern action against the departments and individuals found in delinquency.
