Says CPEC to bring prosperity in country
President Mamnoon Hussain said on Monday that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was a national project and that it would bring development and prosperity in the country.
Addressing the launching ceremony of Medibank Trust in Islamabad, the president said that work was ongoing on different projects of CPEC, adding that that no changes were being made in its routes. He said that the entire region would benefit from the CPEC project. He said the project would also help boost economic activities in Pakistan.
He said about the Medibank Trust that inaugurating a project aimed at providing medicines to low income people was a matter of great pleasure for him.
The president said that network of the bank had been expanded up to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Islamabad.
Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar in her remarks expressed government’s support for Medibank initiative.
She said that the government was giving special importance to providing better healthcare facilities to the deprived segments of the society. She said that the PM’s Health Insurance Scheme was on the cards for the poorest of the poor.
