The Estate & Enforcement Department of Lyari Development Authority carried out a grand operation on Monday, 12th October 2015 to wipe out the illegal encroachments from the land of Hawksbay Scheme 42.
According to the spokesperson of Lyari Development Authority, hundreds of acres land in Sectors 64, 65 and 66 of Hawksbay Scheme 42 as well as Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Towns in Deh Mandiari has been evacuated from land grabbers. A number of illegally built poultry farms were also removed.
The operation was carried out in supervision of Director Estate & Enforecement LDA Mr. Shahid Hassan and S.H.O. Anti-Encroachment Police, Board of Revenue Sindh Mr. Roa Muqeem and Sub-Inspector Muhammad Shahid.
During the operation, the land grabbers in retaliation, opened straight fire on the team of Lyari Development Authority to resist the move. However, Director Estate & Enforcement Mr. Shahid Hassan asserted that stern action according to law will be initiated against the land grabbers.
Agha Maqsood Abbas, Director General, LDA appreciated the efforts of Estate and Enforcement staff and affirmed that notorious plans of the land mafia shall be foiled without considering any affiliation.
