The Pakistan High Commission in India on Monday said nearly 35 Pakistani passengers have been stranded in New Delhi due to cancellation of the Samjhota Express train.
The commission, in a statement, said it was cooperating with the stranded passengers and providing them with food and other facilities.
The commission has also raised the issue with India’s External Affairs Ministry and asked for alternative arrangements for the stranded Pakistani nationals.
It said a list of 18 passengers had already been forwarded to the ministry with a request that they could be given visa to travel by bus to return to Pakistan.
